我喜欢各种可爱小物，旅行中最爱的项目之一是逛逛当地的跳蚤市场，淘一些也许无用但一定有趣的小玩意儿，有点年头的就更是心水了。到了加拿大，顿时如鱼得水，发现处处可淘宝，不亦乐乎。


首先下手的是车库大甩卖（包括Garage sale 和Yard sale）。阳光灿烂的春夏周末，开车时看见路边有车库大甩卖的广告牌，就忍不住弯进去看看。最喜欢碰到孩子们参与的大甩卖，可以用非常低廉的价格买到儿子的书和玩具，而卖东西的小朋友，即使只收到1块2块钱，也会欣喜异常。


接着发现了圣劳伦斯市场（St Lawrence Market）每周日的古董市场，玲琅满目，可以悠闲的逛上大半天。这里最适合我淘古董小首饰，胸针耳环项链古董包，还有精美的小瓷碟镀银餐具之类，也是我的主要目标。


再进阶，就开始追搬家大甩卖（Moving sales）了。在加拿大，有专业的服务公司，来帮忙卖家整理东西，估价，逐一贴上价格标签。然后提前在网上发布广告，甩卖当天到现场发放号码牌，维持秩序，收款送货，卖家完全就是甩手掌柜，全程都不必操心。上周我刚去追了一场。下午2点开卖，我们1点多到，前面已有120多人领了号！一座普通的独立屋，小小的前院如插蜡烛般站满了人，差点阻塞了门前道路的交通。2点，工作人员准时分批放人进去。这卖得可真够彻底，大到家具钢琴除草机灯具，中到各类装饰画小摆设男女服装，小到餐具杂志唱片甚至厨房里未开封的调料，统统大甩卖。可惜等我们进去的时候，好多东西都被“先下手为强”贴上了已售标签。最后，淘了一把雕花的木质靠背椅，开心的背回家。


时间一长，认识了同好的朋友，又开始逛一些不定期办的主题类古董市场，比如古董家具专场啊，古董衣饰专场啊之类。我资历尚浅，所以这类主题专场，我目前还是学习为主，很少下手。至于外出旅行时在小镇邂逅的古董店，自然是不能错过的，最爱淘的是有年头有感觉的原创手绘作品，包括画和器物。


我的心愿是，用这些淘来的宝贝，把自己的小家慢慢装饰成一个小小的纯真博物馆。每一件宝贝都有故事，都有风格，但却能和谐地混搭在一起，真正体现加拿大的多元文化的和谐共生，体现这个世界的丰富多姿。
